PHL on 5th NAFG Colombia in September
The 69-strong PHL delegation to the 5th Friendship Games of the NAM in Colombia formally pays its courtesy call to Vice President Jejomar Binay,along with TV host and incoming flag-bearer for the opening ceremonies,actress and TV host Iya Villania,boxers AJ Banal,Boomboom Bautista,some congressman,local government executives,Colombian charge d’affaires Stella Araneta,and some diplomats in a 2 hour meeting at OVP office in Pasay City to discuss the upcoming Phl participation in the 12-day NAFG to be held in Cali,Colombia and Cartagena,Colombia,to be held from September 21-October 2,2011 this year.
This year’s Friendship Games in Colombia is coincided the 50th Anniversary of the Non-Aligned Movement in promoting advocacy in youth and sports development and people’s participation.
Also joined the courtesy call are celebrities from Kapatid,Kapuso,and Kapamilya united teams including Arci Munoz,Carla Humphries,Bubbles Paraiso,Ervic Vijandre,and TJ Trinidad.
The formal send-off rites to the 5th FG will be held on September 17,Saturday.while the welcoming rites in Cali,Colombia on Tuesday night,September 20,day before the grand opening rites,RnB Princess Kyla will be lead the singing of the National Anthem in the rites. on Wednesday,September 21.Iya will carry her Phl colors in the opening at the Pascual Guerrero Stadium in Cali.
