PGMA swears in new officers of KBP

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo today administered the oath of office to the newly elected officers of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) led by its chairman Ruperto Nicdao Jr. of the Manila Broadcasting Company in simple ceremonies held at the Kalayaan Lounge of the 250th Presidential Airlift Wing in Pasay City.


Other KBP officers and board of trustees inducted by the President include the following:
Butch Canoy (Radio Mindanao Network) - Vice Chairman
Herman BasbaƱo (Bombo Radyo Phils.) - President
Alfredo Henares (Progressive Broadcasting Corp.) - Executive Vice President
Antonio Ventosa (Amcara Broadcasting Network, Inc.) - Vice President Television
Manny Luzon (Ultrasonic Broadcasting System, Inc.) - Vice President Research and Development
Fr. Manuel Bongayan (Radio Veritas Global Broadcasting System) - Treasurer
Joselito Yabut (Primax Broadcasting System) - Corporate Secretary
Alberto Sikat (UM Broadcasting Network) - Director
Erwin Galang (GV Broadcasting System/Mediascape Inc.) - Director
Francis Cardona (Radio Corporation of the Phils.) - Director
The Chief Executive also swore in the new officers and members of the KBP Standards Authority. They are:

After the oath-taking rites, the President joined them in a luncheon which she hosted for them.
