The Gusi Peace Prize Laureates for 2010
THE Manila-based Gusi Peace Prize Foundation has announced its final selection of 20 distinguished laureates for this year.
The Gusi Peace Prize honors individuals or groups who have contributed significantly toward world peace.
The 2010 Gusi Peace Prize laureates include:
Arnold Foote (Jamaica) for International Diplomacy;
Edwin Eugene "Buzz" Aldrin (USA) for his historic achievements in outer space and Science;

Barry Gusi, founder and chairman of the Board of the Gusi Peace Prize, expressed optimism that the Gusi Peace Prize will come to mean similar with the Nobel Prize since it is not only acclaimed but really speaks for humanitarian endeavor and unity of the entire world.
"We will continue to seek, recognize, honor and give pride and dignity to every deserving achiever and peacemaker worldwide as long as we can," Gusi said.
"The Gusi Peace Prize will live on for as long as there is honesty, integrity, sincerity, and good intention among its recipients in helping for human equality in this world. The Gusi Peace Prize will work forever to create a peace and unity in our world and to make our world a better place to live," he added.
The Gusi Peace Prize is awarded by a committee of 21. The board of trustees and the committees have only one year in the position, subject to reappointment.
People of different nationalities could be a part of this foundation by which their willingness is necessary to work for peace and unity.
The Gusi Committee is completely independent. In its assessment of nomination of awards, it receives no instructions or directives.

GMA 7’s Party Pilipinas takes it to the streets, and goes freestyle tomorrow.
Set to perform on stage are the infamous open-mic rappers from the streets of Tondo, Manila, together with the show’s homegrown young rap royalties Elmo and Arkin Magalona. Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown host Richard Gutierrez joins a Step Up-inspired number with Mark Herras, Rochelle Pangilinan and the rest of Sayaw Pilipinas crew.

Party Pilipinas presents"The Switch"tomorrow
MANILA, Philippines - GMA 7’s Party Pilipinas will provide another fun-filled Sunday afternoon as the hippest party on TV turns special performances to something extraordinary with its theme The Switch!
Party Pilipinas will make viewers world turn upside down tomorrow, Sept. 5 with this episode conceptualized by director Mark Reyes. To start off, Sayaw Pilipinas legion of dancers Mark Herras, Rochelle Pangilinan, Diva Montelaba, Yassi, Rocco Nacino, Enzo Pineda and Sef Cadayona will show off their singing talent.
Meanwhile, Ogie Alcasid, Janno Gibbs, Jaya, Mark Bautista, Rachelle Ann Go, Frencheska Farr and La Diva will invade the dancefloor. More switching will surprise the viewers as the ladies will belt out their version of chart-topping songs of male artists while the male singers will unleash their best Lady Gaga performance.
Ogie launches his newest music video featuring newly-launched Kapuso star Gwen Zamora. Expect leading girl and boy groups Popgirls and XLR8 to also switch P-pop hits. And how true that the Party Pilipinas DJs Rico Robles and KC Montero will do their spiels like news anchors? Find out if the much-awaited tandem of Elmo Magalona and Julie Ann San Jose will switch roles in their special production number.
