34th Philippine Business Conference Opens Today

Manila (October 20) -- The 34th Philippine Business Conference and Expo which is being spearheaded by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry open's today at the historic Manila Hotel and will end on the 22nd with the awarding of the Most Business Friendly LGUs.
Recognizing the importance of strengthening the regional economy, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) has adopted as the theme of the 34th Philippine Business Conference, "ONE. GLOBAL. FILIPINO. Sustaining Gains, Surging Ahead." The theme highlights the significant gains that the Philippines has achieved, complemented by its active participation in the ASEAN and global economic integration.
As 34th PBC Chairman Ambassador Alfredo Yao said, "in our effort to sustain the country's economic growth, we see the Philippines' involvement in building the ASEAN Community and East Asia Economic Community as key to surging ahead amidst global challenges such as the impending global economic recession, and global financial volatilities.
